The MEAD-MS01, recommended for use only in emergency situations, allows you to use Memory Stick media for your XDCAM EX equipment. This new adapter is fully compatible with Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX series, with the main limitation being normal speed and fast motion S&Q recording ONLY. Slow motion S&Q recording is not recommended due to the speed limitation of Memory Sticks.
NOTE 1: The SBAC-US10 is not compatible with the new MEAD-MS01.
The VCL-EX0877 is the 0.8 times wide conversion lens for the PMW-EX1. With the VCL-EX0877 mounted to the PMW-EX1, the focal length becomes 25.1mm to 351mm (31.4mm to 439mm in 35mm equivalent). The PMW-EX1 has an optical specification compensator function. By changing "Wide Conversion" in Camera Set menu "On" manually, chromatic aberration compensation and the image stabilizer mode is optimized for the VCL-EX0877.

The BC-L70 is a compact and lightweight two-channel charger for the BP-GL/IL/L Series lithium-ion batteries. Ni-MH (BP-M50/BP-M100) cannot be charged. The BC-M150 is a successor of BC-L120. The BC-M150 is a battery charger for the BP-L/IL/GL Series lithium-ion battery packs and BP-M100 and BP-M50 nickel metal hydride battery packs. Up to four battery packs can be charged. LED indicators to indicate charging status, and discharge ('refresh') status of a nickel metal hydride battery. LCD screen to indicate information of connected batteries such as battery reserve, charge time for full charge, charge/discharge cycles (indicates the battery reserve only when charging the BPL60S, BPL80S, BP-GL65, BP-GL95, BP-IL75, BP-M50, BP-M100 batteries). Recommended for emergency use only, the MEAD-SD01 Media Aapter allows the use of SDHC memory card media in XDCAM EX equipment such as the PMW-EX1/EX1R, PMW-EX3, PMW-350 and PMW-EX30. Please note that the above XDCAM EX models will require a firmware update, available in late February 2010, for compatibility with the MEAD-SD01 Sony Media Adapter. Please check the XDCAM EX microsite @ www.sony.com/xdcamex for details after February 22, 2010.
While the MEAD-SD01 allows widely available SDHC media cards to be used with XDCAM EX products, Sony recommends recording only normal and fast motion of S&Q. Recording slow motion S&Q is not recommended when using SDHC media. Also, please note that the use of any media other than SxS Pro or SxS-1 media is recommended for emergency situations only. For superb usability, maximum reliability, and high speed transfer rates, SxS media remains the Sony recommended media choice for XDCAM EX.
The SBAC-US10 is not compatible with the new MEAD-SD01.

• Sony “SxS-1” was developed to meet demands for an affordable solution to SxS PRO memory cards. The SxS-1 memory card maintains the same shooting capability as SxS PRO as well as high performance and reliability for professional use. The only differentiation between the SxS-1 and SxS Pro Memory card is the reduced number of read/write cycles. In order to keep track of the SxS-1 remaining usage, Sony has equipped the latest PMW-EX1R and PMW-350 camcorders with a “media life indicator” which is shown on the camcorder display.
• The SxS-1 memory card will initially be compatible with only the new XDCAM EX camcorder models PMW-EX1R, PMW-350L and PMW-350K. In the case of PMW-EX1/EX3/10MD, an end user firmware upgrade, scheduled for release in the Spring of 2010, will be required and can be downloaded from the Sony Pro Media website when available. Users that own an PMW-EX30 must send their deck to a Sony Service center to complete the required firmware updates
