END USER REBATE HDV 8GB COMPACT FLASH CARD MAIL-IN END USER REBATE WITH
PURCHASE OF AN HVRS270U CAMCORDER

PROMOTION PERIOD: January 15, 2008 through September 30, 2008

Sony is excited to offer a Mail-in End User Rebate of one (1) 8GB compact flash card with the
purchase of an HDV™ HVRS270U camcorder and the completion of an online survey and rebate claim
form at www.sony.com/HDVS270CompactFlash. This offer is available only to U.S. based end
users (in the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii, excluding U.S.territories) who purchase
their HVRS270U camcorder from a Sony XL Authorized Reseller or directly from Sony and complete
their online survey and claim by September 30, 2008.

Models/Pricing: HVRS270U A stock models are eligible.
Note: Only U.S. based end user customers are eligible for this rebate.

Backorder/Future Order: HVRS270U must be ordered from a Sony XL Authorized Reseller or directly
from Sony and shipped to the U.S. based end user customer within the
promotion period to be eligible for the rebate.

Mixing Promotions: This program may not be combined with any other end user promotions
from Sony.

Quantity: Limit one rebate per product purchased.

Submission Deadline:
All claims must be made online and required documentation submitted
and postmarked no later than October 30, 2008 or they will be rejected.
Claims that do not have ALL of the required supporting documentation by
this date will be rejected.

Claim Dispute:
Disputes for rejected claims must be submitted within 30 days of postmark
date of claim rejection notice. To dispute a claim, end user must call the
toll free number provided on the website. In the event of any questions or
interpretation of the terms and conditions listed in this promotion, the
decision of Sony will be final.
Other Terms & Conditions: End user should allow 8-10 weeks following receipt of properly completed
rebate submission to receive the 8GB compact flash card. Limit one rebate
per unit purchased by end-user (not for resale). Sony reserves the right to
issue a check in the amount of $200, equivalent to the estimated retail
price, if for any reason the compact flash cards are not in stock. Compact
flash cards or rebate checks will not be delivered to PO Boxes. If rebate
check is not cashed within 90 days of issuance, it will be void, and end
user will not be entitled to receive a replacement rebate check. Rebate
checks will be issued in the name of the business or person purchasing the
eligible product which, if applicable, must match the accompanying
invoice/evidence. Offer is not transferable. Sony reserves the right to
request additional information to validate a claim, making it subject to
U.S. postal regulations. Offer void where prohibited, taxed or restricted
by law. Sony is not responsible for claims, compact flash cards or rebate
checks lost, damaged, or delayed in transit, unless Sony has been
negligent. Submitted materials become Sony property and will not be
returned. Products for which rebate is claimed may not be returned
(limited warranty claims excluded). Offer valid only for end users based in
the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii, excluding U.S.
territories. Offer not valid on open-box, returned products, or
demonstration products.
