Now quality live video can be created by a solo operator with a limited budget. The Broadcast Pix Slate 100 is a switcher with integrated multi-view monitoring, CG and clip store, and optional control of cameras and audio. It can be run on a touch screen, or with a mouse.

So Easy to Make Great Looking Video
The Slate's Multi-View is an industry milestone in ease of use. It enables a novice to be taught in minutes how to create an engaging live video production. Add cameras and a monitor or two. Touch screen monitors are now under $1000. Just touch the camera you want to select it. Touch graphics to load into keys. Touch keys to add them to the preview composition. Touch preview to take it to air.

For more control, open a Broadcast Pix SoftPanel, which also comes with the system. It's an exact copy of the physical panel on the larger Slate models, but done in a web browser, so it can be on the switcher's monitor, on a second monitor, or anywhere on the network. Great for a pro that wants a classic program/preview switcher layout, or for a team member.

HDTV-ready. An optional HD input/output board will enable all Slate switchers to upgrade to HDTV, for HD cameras (1080i and 720p) and producing an HD show.

Slate 100 includes:
Video Switcher: Mix 4 live inputs with clips, titles, stills and logos. Live inputs are SDI or analog. More I/O is optional - see Slate I/O details . Accepts genlocked and asynchronous sources from broadcast cameras to DVD players.  Switcher includes 3 keyers, each with a DVE box for picture-in-picture. Chromakey included. Auxiliary and clean feed output.
Multi-View full motion monitoring of program, preview and live sources. You don't need video monitors unless you want them.
Create titles, rolls, crawls and animations on the built-in Inscriber Character Generator
Still Stores, Title Stores, Logo Generator
AutoAspect for mixing widescreen (16:9) and traditional (4:3) cameras, clips and graphics without stretching video.
Includes a rack mounted workstation with dual monitor support, just add a computer monitor or two and provide reference.
Clip Store, with two hours of uncompressed clips and animations with key, and embedded Audio (SMPTE 272M) plus break-out to XLRs for analog stereo input and outputs.
