Sony is pleased to introduce the DSR-450WSL, the ultimate DVCAM™ Digital Camcorder. Packing the latest 2/3-inch CCD, and advanced 30-bit digital-processing technology into a newly designed, heavy-duty chassis, the DSR-450WSL provides the creative control, picture quality, ruggedness, functionality, and ease of use that the DVCAM format has become famous for.

The DSR-450WSL provides enhanced operational convenience with such features as a swing-out 2.5-inch color LCD monitor, (viewable area, measured diagonally) scene file storage on Memory Stick™ slot, user assignable function buttons, a built-in 8-pin remote-control connector, and battery-remaining display function. In addition, SDI output and analog composite input are available with the use of optional boards.

The DSR-450WSL features three native 16:9 2/3" Power HAD™ EX CCDs for shooting in 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios. The DSR 450WSL further offers 24PSF and 30PsF progressive modes, selectable gamma with a film-like gamma setting, and variable shutter for greater creative control.
