Offering new price / performance levels in a Three Chip shoulder mount camcorder with 10X
optical zoom and 500X digital zoom, the DVC20 is actually more energy efficient than the one
chip DVC7! Three-chip design offers truer colors and more resolution while moiré and other
chromatic artifacts are significantly reduced. The Panasonic AG-DVC20’s shoulder mount
differentiated design provides a true competitive advantage. New features like Power LCD which
allows the side screen to be seen in bright sunlight and Zero Lux Night View which transforms
the LCD into a light source for shooting in total darkness. A newly designed “joystick” Menu
control makes VCR playback very easy. What’s more, it also doubles as a function selector in the Camera mode switchingBacklight compensation, Soft skin, Color night View, Tele-macro, Fade in/out, White balance, as well as Mic level, all while on the shooter’s shoulder. Although priced somewhat higher than the AG-DVC7, we were impressed with the DVC20’s resolution, colorimetry and superior image quality. Your entry-level, back-up and “replacement” customers will be getting the image quality they want, at the price they need with this step-up model.
Of course, the DVC20 has an In/Out IEEE1394 4-pin digital interface terminal making it easy to
upload pictures and sound to a Macintosh™ or Windows™ based PC for non-linear editing. It is now located near the A/V outputs which are Y/C, Video, and L&R Audio.
