Dionic batteries are the perfect selection for the videographer with weight as the highest priority in selecting a battery. Dionic offers complete compatibility with PowerChargers already in the field (may require software chip update) and the Titan series. Multiple electronic safety circuits, including the field proven reliability of the Digital Battery, and the mechanical integrity of IMPAC case construction have allowed Anton/Bauer to design an all new battery which safely employs lightweight cell chemistry for the rigors of Eng use. Dionic 90 weighs only 1.7 lbs (770 grams) and is the highest capacity lithium ion battery which can be legally transported without restriction under the IATA and DOT safety regulations. Dionic 160 contains an exclusive cell configuration unlike any other video battery. Instead of using cells originally designed for lighter duty applications, such as computers, this battery is constructed with specialized lithium ion cells originally designed for high rate military applications. Because of these low resistance cells, Dionic 160 can be used to power lighting loads and other accessories with a total output of up to 10 amps – a capability usually reserved only for nickel based chemistries. Dionic 160 weighs 30% less than a HyTRON 140, has 15% more capacity, and will run a typical camcorder for over 6 hours.

Digital Dionic HC The Dionic HC lithium ion battery is capable of delivering up to 10 amps for high current draw applications, including on-camera lighting. The 91 watt-hour Dionic HC can operate a 40 watt HD camcorder for over 2 hours.

Due to the new rating of 168Wh for the Dionic 160, batteries beginning with serial # 35288 cannot be carried on the airplane for international travel or airlines that comply with IACO/IATA regulation for their travel restriction.  Under DOT regulation, however, up to 2 Dionic 160 can be carried on US domestic flights. (Note: It is always best to consult with airlines before carrying Dionic 160 as a carry-on item.)
This new rating does NOT affect shipping requirements; all shipping requirements remain the same.
